The Radio Dept. - Heaven's On Fire

People see rock and roll as, as youth culture,

and when youth culture becomes monopolised by big business, what are the youth to do?

Do...Do you have any idea?

I think we should destroy the bogus capitalist process that is destroying youth culture !

我真的很喜歡The Radio Dept.的『Clinging to a Scheme』。

當然還是很fuzzy、sweet這樣，可是總覺得這張真是有趣多了。

某些tune聽起來很輕鬆愉悅，

尤其喜歡裡面一些歌忽然像電影一般出現了口白，

像這首歌一樣，

開頭像電玩那般playful，每次一轉到這首歌就令人會心一笑。

這種開頭時常讓我聯想到Jamiroquai。

專輯封面也很符合這些歌的精神，

吞雲吐霧的之中短暫逃離那些為了現實價值而勉強扭曲自我，

最後卻徒勞無功的窘境，

從迷霧中得到的甜美慰藉。

(看來我本人信手ㄍㄟ掰的實力已到爐火純青的地步了....這都要感謝台大四年來的栽培!!)

總之，我很喜歡這首歌的light tune....

開頭Thurston Moore的話更讓人大呼過癮的愛 !
